The mission of the Muncie Fire Department is to protect the lives and property of all those we serve by reducing the effects of fire and by responding to medical emergencies, hazardous materials incidents, technical rescue emergencies, and disasters.
Our department shall provide a proactive, highly trained professional service for the city by conducting fire prevention, fire inspection, fire investigation, fire safety education, fire suppression, medical services, technical rescue response, and other related emergency and non-emergency activities.
We will actively participate in our community, serving as role models and striving to utilize all the resources at our command effectively and efficiently in order to provide services deemed excellent by our citizens.
